should be an admirable compere and wild animal protector.

Now, he’s gone.
Died in the sea. Attacked by a fierce stingray.
At 11:00 a.m. local time (01:00 UTC) on 4 September 2006.

We should keep those memories of this fearless warrior.
In those TV programs of Discovery Channel.
And those of his smart and beautiful assistant — his wife Terri,
that cutie doggy with the cowboy scarf.

Mourn for this naturalist.

当看到那张熟悉的面孔时，突然很难受
尽管您可能对这个名字十分陌生，但很可能您和您的家人曾在电视上看过史蒂夫真实、大胆的捕捉各种野生动物的场景，
尤其是他赤手空拳在河流中捕捉鳄鱼的场景。

因为他从小对鳄鱼的了解和在著名电视系列节目《鳄鱼捕手》中的精彩表演，他被惯称为“鳄鱼捕手”。
然而他不是一个只知道捕捉猎物的猎手，他创立的 Wildlife Warriors Worldwide （原名史蒂夫•艾尔文环保基金会）在对澳洲的野生动物保护起到了相当重要的作用
他个人的影响更是波及到了全部澳洲民众。
我依稀还记得他在电视上一直幽默的言谈，和对野生动物（特别是各种爬行动物）的丰富认识。
我还依稀记得在《探索频道•动物星球》的《鳄鱼猎手》节目中他可爱的女助手——她的妻子。
还有新闻刊物上他和她的女儿的风趣照片。
