In the very beginning of civilization, literal record is vital, so this is the sub-meaning of Jay’s song The Love Before Christ(2001) named. I don’t know why the melody of this song keep hovering over me these days. But this reminds me a lot of the singer. Though I got know Jay from his first album, but it was the The Love Before Christ let me get the conclusion that Jay is definitely a genius.
Especially this sect of lyric, “I feel so tried, when I found my homeland is still so far away. I’m afraid that I’d never back to your side.” moved me.
To claim the homeland is in the process to find oneself, is the bitter of heart traveling. And to call out the lover, is to express sincere affection.
However, the entertainment industry ruined Jay completely, now he stop his thinking of pains. So does David Tao, their virtue gone with the entertainment.
“感到很疲倦”是一种对心灵疲苦的袒露;
“离家乡还是很远”更是有一种唐诗般的旅人羁苦的再度演绎,渴望回归和救赎,令人感动;
Dear God.
